Subscription Terms & Conditions

1. Subscription and automatic renewal

• Grail Paid is billed in advance on a recurring basis — monthly ($2.99 AUD) or annually ($26.99 AUD) — as selected and clearly disclosed on the account page before you're taken to checkout.
• Grail Paid covers both GrailFinder products: price and restock alerts in Price Compare, and extra benefits in GrailFinder TCG such as monthly in-game currency, packs and more Catalog slots. What is included is described on the account page and may change as the game develops. In-game benefits are virtual items under our Terms of Use: they have no cash value and are not refunded once received, except where the law requires it.
• By subscribing, you authorise us (via our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
• The total cost per billing cycle, the billing frequency, and the fact that the subscription renews automatically are shown before you pay, and are also set out in our Terms of Use.
• Your agreement to auto-renewal is given by clicking a clearly labelled subscribe button — never hidden in fine print or defaulted on without your action.

2. Cancellation

• You may cancel at any time, at no cost, from your account page using the "Manage subscription" button, which opens Stripe's secure billing portal. Cancelling there takes effect immediately in our records — there is no waiting period, no phone call, and no retention step designed to delay it.
• If you'd rather not use the self-service portal, you can also email us at info.grailfindertcg@gmail.com and we'll cancel it for you within 2 business days.
• Either way, cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you've already paid for. You keep full paid access, including alerts, until that date, and you will not be charged again after cancelling.

3. Refunds

• General rule: once a payment is made, it is non-refundable. We don't provide refunds or credits for the unused portion of a billing period, or because you changed your mind, found a cheaper alternative, or simply didn't end up using the service.
• Statutory rights: nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If the service fails to meet a consumer guarantee — for example, it isn't provided with due care and skill, or isn't fit for the purpose it's sold for — you may be entitled to a remedy, which could include a refund. See Consumer guarantees below.
• Refund method: any refund we process, whether under the ACL or as a goodwill exception, is made to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

4. Price changes and modifications

• We may adjust subscription prices from time to time. Any price change will not affect a billing period you've already paid for, and we'll give reasonable advance notice (by email and/or a notice on this site) before a new price applies to your next renewal.
• If a price increase or a material change to these Terms applies to your upcoming renewal, you have the right to cancel before it takes effect, as described in Cancellation above, at no penalty.
• We will not remove core features of your subscription without prior notice and a chance to cancel first.

5. Unfair contract terms

These are standard-form consumer terms, and we've written them to be transparent and balanced rather than to create a significant imbalance in our favour, consistent with the unfair contract term protections in the ACL. In particular, we don't: exclude or limit your consumer guarantee rights; let us change the price or the service without notice and a right to exit; or impose lock-in periods or penalties beyond what's reasonably necessary to run a subscription service.

6. Consumer guarantees

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. We warrant that the subscription will be provided with due care and skill and will be reasonably fit for the purpose described on this site. If it doesn't meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy — for example, having the issue fixed or a partial or full refund. These rights exist alongside, and are not replaced by, anything else in these Terms.

7. Privacy and data

• By providing your details (email and payment information), you agree to their handling in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) or, for New Zealand subscribers, the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).
• Recurring payments are processed securely by Stripe. We don't receive or store your full card number — it's tokenised by Stripe's payment gateway.
• Any marketing email we send complies with the Spam Act 2003. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the email or your account settings, and unsubscribing never affects transactional emails like receipts or price/restock alerts you've asked for.

8. General

• Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria — non-exclusive so that, where the law allows it, you may instead bring a claim in your own local court.
• Who you are dealing with. Your subscription is with GRAILFINDER PTY LTD, a company registered in Australia.
• Severability. If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues in full force.
• Updates. We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your subscription or renewal applies. When we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and notify you by email. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you don't agree, you can cancel as described in Cancellation.
